Syria's Muslim Brotherhood on Monday accused Russia, China and Iran of being complicit in what it said was a "massacre" being carried out by the embattled regime in Damascus, which it likened to the Nazis.
"We consider Russia, China and Iran as direct accomplices to the horrible massacre being carried out against our people," the group's spokesman Zouheir Salem said in a statement issued from London.
He accused the three countries of supplying weapons and equipment to President Bashar Assad's regime, which is seeking to put down a near 11-month revolt.
By doing so, the Brotherhood said, they were "directly participating in the massacre of our defenseless people."
"Arab states and the whole world... bear moral and political responsibility for the genocide carried out by the regime against men, women and children," said the Brotherhood, which is banned in Syria.
"We call on the whole world to stop the massacre of the Syrian people," it added. "Your silence in the face of the massacre being carried out today is allowing the Nazi and fascist hand of the regime to commit further massacres."
According to rights groups, more than 6,000 people have been killed in the unrest that broke out when activists launched a popular uprising in Syria in mid-March.
