Gallant says Nasrallah may lead Lebanon to paying 'heavy prices'

Speaking to troops during a drill simulating a war in Lebanon, Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant warned Wednesday that Hezbollah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah may cause the Lebanese state to “pay heavy prices.”

“As things stand, Nasrallah may drag Lebanon into paying extremely heavy prices. They can’t even imagine what might happen,” Gallant told troops from the 646th Reserve Paratroopers Brigade.

“This may also deteriorate into a war. It’s not theoretical, it’s real,” he added.

Nasrallah has vowed that Hezbollah will retaliate to Israel’s airstrike in Dahieh in late July that killed the group’s military chief Fouad Shukur and six other people.
