Aoun stresses there will be 'no obstruction' in new govt.

President Joseph Aoun told the new ministers during the first cabinet session on Tuesday that their belonging should be “only to the state.”

“The ministries will be reformed and developed amid international support,” Aoun added.

He also called on ministers not to “criticize any country and to only message them through official channels and according to norms,” while calling on them to remove the security barriers that surround their ministries.

“Lebanon can only rise through carrying out reforms and there will be no obstruction in the government; we will rather discuss and come up with solutions,” the president added.

He also called for winning confidence through ending corruption in administrations and addressing urgent matters, including the implementation of Resolution 1701 and ensuring Israeli withdrawal from south Lebanon.
