Israeli official says not seeking war, welcomes 'unconditional' talks with Lebanon
Israeli is “not seeking a war in Lebanon” but “will not hesitate if it’s needed,” an Israeli official told Al-Arabiya on Wednesday.
“We welcome any negotiations with Lebanon but without preconditions,” the official added.
“Hezbollah is redeploying in the South, which threatens a new war,” the official warned, decrying that “there is procrastination in removing arms from the Lebanese south.”
“According to the agreement, we have the freedom to target what represents a threat to our security without informing the international (ceasefire monitoring) committee,” the Israeli official added.
