Syrian defense ministry announces four-day ceasefire with Kurds
Syria's defense ministry announced a four-day ceasefire with Kurdish forces on Tuesday, after an understanding was reached between the two sides on the future of the Kurdish-majority Hasakeh region.
The ministry announced a ceasefire "from 8pm (1700 GMT)... lasting four days", saying it was part of the agreement between the Damascus government and the Kurdish-led Syrian Democratic Forces.
