Israel attacks south after 2 troops hurt by 'Hezbollah bomb'
The Israeli army said Saturday that it struck Hezbollah infrastructure in south Lebanon after two Israeli soldiers were lightly injured when a Hezbollah explosive device detonated under a military bulldozer in the so-called security zone.
"In response, the IDF (Israeli army) immediately struck a number of terrorist infrastructure sites across several areas in southern Lebanon. The targeted infrastructure included observation posts and facilities used by Hezbollah ... to advance and execute terror plots against our forces," the Israeli army said.
"The IDF is currently acting -- and will continue to act forcefully -- to counter Hezbollah’s repeated attempts to harm our forces," it added.
Four Israeli airstrikes had earlier targeted the southern town of Nabatieh al-Fawqa.
