The 2007 Formula One champion Kimi Raikkonen held talks on Monday with President Michel Suleiman in hopes of staging a grand prix in Lebanon, reported MTV.
He told the president that he is seeking to place the Lebanese flag on his Formula One car.
The Finnish driver later held talks on Tuesday with Prime Minister Najib Miqati on the possibility of holding a grand prix in Lebanon.
Raikkonen was in Beirut this week to launch Lotus Cars Lebanon.
The former champion returned to the sport this season after spending a one-year stint in the World Rally Championship.
He currently drives for team Lotus.
There have been numerous talks over the years to host a Formula One grand prix in Lebanon, but various political and security factors have thwarted these efforts.
