Butcher, Grocer and Postman Delivered Royal Wedding Invite

The grocer, butcher and postman from Kate Middleton's English village will rub shoulders with the world's great and good after being invited to her marriage to Prince William, it was reported Sunday.

The landlord of the Middleton's local pub in the Berkshire village of Bucklebury, south-east England, will also be mingling with noblemen, world leaders and football superstar David Beckham at the April 29 celebration.

Shopkeeper Chan Shingadia and his wife, Hash, received their gold-embossed invitation last week, and are now hunting for wedding sari after being given the green light to attend in their traditional Indian costumes, the Mail on Sunday said.

"We’re over the moon, absolutely thrilled. I have known Kate six years," Chan Shingadia told the British newspaper. "She has brought William in on about three or four occasions.

"The very first time it was mind-blowing to have a Prince in my store. He likes Viennetta ice cream, he buys that a lot," the shopkeeper added.

Also invited is Middleton's postman Ryan Naylor, who called the bride-to-be a "friendly, natural, lovely girl."

Martin Fidler, the butcher who supplies meat to the Middleton family, will also be at the much-anticipated ceremony along with pub landlord John Haley, who runs the Old Boot Inn in nearby Stanford Dingley.

"I was surprised to be invited," Hayley told the paper. "They have hundreds of guests and they included me. That’s wonderful. I am thrilled.

"William and Kate have been to my pub about ten times in the past year. They come in, sit quietly at the table, drink wine and are a lovely couple. They've been in to dine and are very natural, talking to the regulars," he added.
