Hariri Denies al-Manar Report Qoreitem Mansion Sold

Former Prime Minister Saad Hariri’s press office denied on Saturday an al-Manar TV report that Qoreitem mansion was sold or donated to the French embassy.

The office said in a press release that the report by the mouthpiece of Hizbullah about the mansion being sold for 700 million dollars was a lie.

It accused Hizbullah of covering up for four of its members wanted in connection with the murder of ex-Premier Rafik Hariri and issuing lies and rumors and misleading the media.

The Special Tribunal for Lebanon, set up by the U.N. Security Council to try those responsible for the assassination of Hariri in 2005, announced in February that it will put the four Hizbullah members on trial even though they have not yet been detained.

Arrest warrants have been issued for the four men -- Salim Ayyash, Mustafa Badreddine, Hussein Oneissi, and Assad Sabra.
