Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea stated on Saturday that the failed assassination attempt against him will not intimidate the party, announced the LF in a statement on Sunday.
He said: “The criminals must be assured that their attempt will not affect our determination.”
He made his statements during a ceremony in Zahleh Saturday held in celebration of his survival of the attempt on his life.
Geagea continued: “Those who survived the civil war, persecution, arrests, and solitary confinement for 11 years will not be deterred by a few bullets.”
“We will persevere to achieve a free, sovereign, and independent Lebanon,” he stressed.
On Wednesday, the LF chief was the victim of a failed sniper attack while he was taking a walk on the grounds of his Maarab residence.
