Three judges from the Justice Palace in Baabda received death threats on Thursday.
Investigations however revealed the threats to be a hoax.
The threats were made by an unknown individual who telephoned the Internal Security Forces’ headquarters in Aley.
The judicial police and ISF Intelligence Bureau immediately took the necessary security precautions at the Justice Palace.
They also discovered the mobile phone line that was used to make the telephone call and the security forces have yet to determine the reason that prompted the individual to make the hoax.
The security measures at the Justice Palace have however remained in place as a precaution.
The Justice Palace has been the victim of hoax bomb threats.
It received such threats in December 2010 and June and July 2011.
The Beirut Justice Palace was also the target of such a hoax in March 2011.
