Al-Mustaqbal bloc leader MP Fouad Saniora visited Lebanese Forces chief Samir Geagea for the first time after the LF leader escaped an assassination attempt on April 4, An Nahar daily reported Sunday.
Saniora inspected on Friday night the wall that was hit by the bullets intended to target Geagea in the sniper attack in his residence in Maarab, the newspaper said.
LF sources told An Nahar that Geagea is in continuous coordination with al-Mustaqbal movement chief ex-PM Saad Hariri and Saniora.
“It is natural for the talks to focus on the situation in the Arab world and mainly the developments in Syria and their repercussions on Lebanon … and the importance of having a new technocrat and neutral cabinet,” they said.
Geagea and Saniora also discussed ways to reorganize the March 14 opposition coalition and set the framework for joint action, the sources told An Nahar.
Sources close to the bloc leader also said that the two sides agreed to “unify their vision for the future.”
