Army Dismantles Israeli Spy System in Shamaa

The army command announced on Thursday that it has dismantled an Israeli spy and surveillance system in the southern town of Shamaa near Tyre.

It said in a statement that the system was placed in a camouflaged rock and that it consisted of a surveillance device, another for sending photographs, a power source, and a cooling system.

The army made the discovery after being tipped off by the Resistance, it added.

The sophisticated system covers the southern coastal region from al-Bayyada to Tyre and is activated by surveillance planes that directly take photographs from the system.

The army command warned citizens against tampering with any suspicious object, advising them to inform the nearest military center of any discovery.
