Huge Fire Erupts on Damour Outskirts, Spreads to Mishref, Kfar Matta
A major blaze erupted Sunday on Damour’s outskirts and spread to Mishref and Kfar Matta, state-run National News Agency reported.
Civil Defense crews arrived immediately on the scene and embarked on combating the fire.
Residents urged the Civil Defense to reinforce its teams before the flames reach the houses, NNA said.
“Army helicopters are assisting the Civil Defense in its efforts to douse the blaze,” Radio Voice of Lebanon (100.5) reported.
LBCI television said the blaze gutted vast forest areas.
Meanwhile, media reports said Civil Defense crews were combating a fire that broke out in the town of Bsaba in Hadath.
