Four gunmen kidnapped on Saturday three Syrians on the airport road briefly, reported the National News Agency.
It said that the four gunmen, three of whom were masked, were riding in a silver SUV.
The abductors took the captives from a banana storehouse to an unknown location.
However, the NNA said later that the Syrians were released after the culprits robbed their cash.
The Syrians were identified as: Maher Moustapha Abboud, Qassem Dandouneh, and Mohammed Abdul Hakim Awad.
The Haret Hreik police and the Internal Security Forces launched an investigation in the incident.
This is the latest in a series of kidnappings of Syrian and Turkish nationals in Lebanon.
The abductions began on Wednesday when al-Meqdad clan announced that it will be carrying out such operations in retaliation to the Free Syrian Army’s alleged kidnapping of Hassan al-Meqdad on Sunday.
The clan’s military wing declared that it had abducted over 20 Syrians.
The captives include a Turkish national.
The clan has since announced a halt to its military operations throughout Lebanon.
On Thursday, unknown assailants abducted Turkish national Abd Basset Orssolane from the Choueifat region.
The clan’s spokesman Maher al-Meqdad had stated that the family’s military wing has nothing to do with the abduction.
