A bomb was found on Wednesday under al-Rmeileh Bridge south of Beirut, the National News Agency reported.
According to the news agency, a military expert arrived at the scene and revealed that the bomb wasn’t attached to a detonator.
Media outlets reported earlier that the army cordoned off the area to inspect the bomb.
The Army Command issued on Tuesday a communiqué, urging citizens to identify culprits and to report any suspected cases.
Lebanon has recently witnessed a series of security incidents including blocking roads, kidnappings and robberies.
