Thousands of Hizbullah and Amal movement supporters took part on Sunday in eastern Lebanon's Hermel in the last in a series of protests against a U.S.-made film which mocks Islam.
"Death to America! Israel, enemy of Muslims!" chanted the crowd made of men, women and children waving the yellow Hizbullah flags.
The Hermel protest was the fifth in a series of demonstrations called for by Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah who made a rare public appearance on September 17 and urged supporters to vent their fury over the film.
The protests against the movie and cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed in a French satirical magazine have been staged in several towns across Lebanon, without resulting in violence.
But protests by Islamists in the northern city of Tripoli on September 14 led to clashes with police in which one demonstrator was killed and 25 people were injured.
More than 30 people have been killed in violence linked to the low-budget "Innocence of Muslims,” produced in the U.S. that has sparked protests in at least 20 countries since a trailer was posted online.
