The Mustaqbal parliamentary bloc on Tuesday noted that "there are no real indications" that the new cabinet will see light anytime soon.
In a statement issued after its weekly meeting under ex-PM Fouad Saniora, the bloc derided the "promises" made in that regard "by those who are saying that they are part of the cabinet formation process."
The conferees warned that Lebanon "cannot afford to remain without a government that oversees the interests of the country and the citizens, especially amid the deterioration of the security situations in the country and the alarming decline of the various economic and financial indicators."
"Among the manifestations of the continuous deterioration in public life is the launching by the de facto forces, especially in their areas of influence, of the biggest and widest process of breaching construction laws and seizing and violating public, private and Islamic Waqf property in the South, the Bekaa and some areas in Greater Beirut," the bloc added.
"The de facto forces in the South, the Bekaa and Beirut's southern suburbs are responsible for the ongoing deliberate violation of laws and the distortion of the image of state institutions," the bloc charged.
