A Syrian national wanted for several counts of thefts was arrested in the Bekaa region on Sunday, reported the National News Agency.
Salem Kamal al-Ali confessed to committing 30 robberies.
NNA explained that Ali had stopped at a petrol station in Majdal Anjar where he met a member of the Dandash family whom he requested some money to grant to the poor on the occasion of Eid al-Adha.
The assailant promptly robbed Dandash and escaped the scene in his car.
Investigations were then carried out and it was determined that Ali is a resident of the town of Marj.
He was arrested in the area and he confessed to his crimes.
