Abu Ghida Receives File on Complete Identity of Mamlouk

First Military Investigation Judge Riyad Abu Ghida received on Wednesday a file on the complete identity of Syrian security chief Ali Mamlouk, reported the National News Agency.

The file contains the name of the mother of the Syrian official, who is charged, along with former Minister Michel Samaha of forming a criminal gang aimed at carrying out attacks in Lebanon at Syria's behest.

NNA said that Abu Ghida received the file from State Commissioner to the Military Court Judge Saqr Saqr who in turn received it from the Internal Security Forces Intelligence Bureau.

Failure to obtain Mamlouk's mother's name forced a delay in summoning him to a hearing, reported al-Joumhouria newspaper on December 1.

A second Syrian official, identified only as Colonel Adnan, has also been charged in Samaha's case.

An Nahar daily later revealed that Colonel Adnan has been identified as Mamlouk's office director.

Samaha was arrested in August and Abu Ghida set January 14 as a date for questioning the Syrian official linked to the case.
