The Army Command stated on Tuesday that its units throughout Lebanon are continuing their efforts in assisting citizens who have been stranded by the snow and floods caused by the storm that has been affecting the country since Saturday.
It said in a statement that it has been helping stranded citizens throughout Lebanon, most notably in the areas of Baalbek, Akkar, Jbeil, and Keserwan.
A number of wounded have also be transferred to hospital for treatment, it added.
Army units have reopened a number of roads that were blocked by the snow and landslides.
Army helicopters have been put on full alert to intervene in any emergency, it said.
The Army Command urged citizens to contact it should they suffer any accident from the poor weather.
The storm is set to continue until late Wednesday with temperatures set to plunge and snow and more rainfall predicted throughout the country.
Three people have been killed in various incidents caused by the storm.
