Fransen to Hold Status Conference on January 30
Special Tribunal for Lebanon Pre-Trial Judge Daniel Fransen will hold a hearing on January 30 as part of his duties to ensure preparation for trial, announced the tribunal in a statement on Friday.
The Status Conference, which will begin at 2:30 p.m. (Central European time) will be public.
“The Judge might decide to go into closed session during the course of the hearing if confidential matters need to be discussed,” it explained.
The last Status Conference was held on November 27 during which Defense lawyers expressed their concerns over the high number of witnesses to testify in next March's trials.
