One man was killed and five other people were wounded on Saturday in a family feud at Burj al-Shamali camp in the southern city of Tyre, the National News Agency reported.
"Twenty-five years old Imad Fayez al-Qassem has died in an armed clash against Moussa Hussein al-Khodeir and Jamal Saleh Awad,” the NNA detailed.
It noted: “Al-Khodeir and Awad, in addition to three other people were wounded and transferred to Tyre's hospitals for treatment”.
The accident lead to a state of tension and alert at Burj al-Shamali, LBCI television said.
Meanwhile, Palestinian committees have reached out to concerned authoritative to restore calm at the camp.
"We are keen on preserving security at the camp," Palestinian factions at Burj al-Shamali said after holding urgent talks following the incident.
"The feud that took place is personal and has no political or family dimensions," they stated, announcing the formation of a special committee to follow-up on the issue.
