Five men have broken out of a detention center at Baabda’s Justice Palace, the state-run National News Agency said Saturday.
The five men made their escape at dawn Saturday after sawing a window with a sharp object, NNA said.
The men were identified as Ali Naji Hassan, 19, Majed Mohammed Abdo, 21, Yasser Ali Abdullah, 22, Mohammed Hussein Shukr, 20, and 54-year-old Mohammed Zein Ahmed.
Internal Security Forces took enhanced measures at the Baabda prison and the detention center and are searching for the five escapees, NNA said.
They were arrested for committing crimes of theft and robbery, it added.
