A fire broke out on Sunday at a plastic factory in the southern city of Sidon, reported the National News Agency.
It said that the factory is located in the city's vegetable market.
Civil defense teams were working on extinguishing the blaze, the causes of which are not yet known.
No injuries were reported as MTV said that heavy smoke enveloped the area.
Flames and smoke started abating in the afternoon, NNA said, adding that Sidon Municipality chief Mohammed al-Saudi visited the scene of the blaze and lauded firefighters' efforts to contain it.
