A lawyer for Reese Witherspoon says the actress has pleaded no contest to a disorderly conduct charge resulting from a heated confrontation with a state trooper in Atlanta.
Municipal Court of Atlanta Deputy Solicitor Ronda Graham said in a statement Friday that Witherspoon entered the plea and paid a $100 fine, resolving the case.
Georgia State Patrol spokesman Gordy Wright said earlier Friday that the department will release video from a state trooper's dashboard camera that captured the confrontation and Witherspoon's arrest. Celebrity website TMZ has aired a copy of the video.
The footage shows Witherspoon asking the trooper, "Do you know my name?" and then adding, "You're about to find out who I am."
The actress has apologized for her behavior.
