Two people were injured on Thursday after a dispute between men from rival families in the northern city of Tripoli turned into a gunfight, the state-run National News Agency reported.
NNA identified the wounded as Mohammed al-Zakhoury and Jneid al-Nashar.
They were taken to the Islamic hospital after armed men from Sharafeddine and Othman families engaged in the gunbattle near al-Nahaseen market.
The army deployed in the area and worked to contain the incident.
The fighting left damages in shops in the area.
