The attack against the Lebanese army in the Bekaa town of Arsal was planned weeks in advance, reported As Safir newspaper Friday.
Widely informed military sources told the daily that most of the details of the crime were uncovered, which includes the arrest of three suspects.
The Internal Security Forces Intelligence Bureau arrested a Lebanese female nurse, who works at the Tripoli government hospital, another Lebanese national, who is the nurse's neighbor and who is suspected of renting the Hummer used in the assault, and a Syrian national, who is residing in the Bekaa town of Shtaura.
As Safir said that the Syrian national was wounded during while fighting regime forces in Syria over three months ago.
He was consequently transferred to hospital in Lebanon where he met the nurse.

Three soldiers were killed overnight Monday in an attack on their checkpoint in the town of Wadi Hmeid in the eastern border town of Arsal.
Media reports said that the gunmen, riding in a Hummer, had fled to Syrian territories after the attack.
