A diesel tanker was destroyed on Tuesday after Syrian aircraft fired rockets at it on the Syrian-Lebanese border east of the Bekaa town of Arsal.
"Syrian military aircraft fired rockets on a diesel tanker in al-Marsad region on the east of Arsal,” the state-run National News Agency reported.
The NNA noted that the tanker was “destroyed after it was caught on fire.”
Meanwhile, LBCI television said a Syrian helicopter fired two shells at a pick-up truck inside Syria but noted that they "missed their target."
Since the eruption of the Syrian war, Syria's aircraft have repeatedly shelled on the Arsal region which prompted President Michel Suleiman to order filing a complaint with the United Nations Security Council and the Arab League.
Syrian rebels have also targeted border regions whose majority of residents are loyal to Hizbullah, in response to the party's fighting alongside the forces of President Bashar Assad.
