“What should I say, everything is clear,” said Judge Wael Murtada after receiving a death threat, An Nahar newspaper reported Sunday.
The daily said that the threat came in the form of a bullet stuck to his vehicle’s window with a message: “Death for you.”
His Mercedes was parked in the garage of his apartment complex in Dawhet Aramoun when he made the discovery on Saturday morning, An Nahar said.
Upon the discovery of the message, Murtada called security agencies that brought it forensic experts and took the fingerprints from the car.
Murtada is a general inspector at the justice ministry and was an examining magistrate at the military court in Beirut and the criminal court of cassation in Beirut.
