Hamas Condemns Israel-Morocco Normalization as 'Political Sin'

W460

Hamas, the Islamist group that controls the Gaza Strip, condemned as a "political sin" Thursday's agreement by Israel and Morocco to normalize ties.

"It is a political sin that does not serve the Palestinian cause and encourages the occupation to continue to deny the rights of our people," Hamas spokesman Hazem Qassem told AFP, referring to Israel.

Qatar? Oman? Saudi Arabia? Mauritania? Niger? Mali, Indonesia? Brunei? Djibuti?
You name it. Nearly all of them will come over in the near future.
The Palestinians? Maybe they will realise that it is sense in about 10 years.
Lebanon? You almost succeeded in the 1980's so why not try again now.

Since Israel's founding, Palestinian leaders have made many strategic, diplomatic and political mistakes. The mistake of much of the Palestinian people is to support their leaders; to be fair, we have to admit that in such a situation it is a natural human reaction to resist intruders; unfortunately for the Palestinians, in this case the intruders had the sympathy of Europe (guilt from WWII) and the US. Imagine the Americans living in camps and the US becoming the land of the Red Indians, or Australia for the aboriginals or NZetc ...
I hope for a more liberal political regime in Israel in order to allow a fair deal for 2 states, now that many Arab countries are signing peace treaties with Israel, the old rhetoric "surrounded by enemies, we have to defend ourselves" become obsolete.

If Israel didn't exist, Iran and Hamas would have to invent it so that they would have someone to blame for all the problems of the Middle East.
