Murr Accuses Suleiman of ‘Exposing his Security’

Former Defense Minister Elias Murr held President Michel Suleiman responsible for exposing his security, stressing that he didn’t carry out his tasks towards the probe into the bombing that targeted him.

“I have been with him (the president) since he was the army chief. He didn’t carry out his tasks concerning the investigation into my attempted murder. And his last stances from the government (show that) he exposed us,” Murr told LBC television on Thursday night.

The minister survived an assassination attempt in July 2005.

The ex-Minister said that “so far Syria has nothing to do with my assassination attempt” calling on PM Najib Miqati to “respect the international resolutions and cooperate with the international tribunal to the maximum level.”

Murr blamed Hizbullah for the attack.

"I have had doubts for a long time that a Hizbullah cell was involved in the attempt on my life, and I took the matter up with Hizbullah MPs who all denied it," he told the television network.

Murr said there was evidence that the same Hizbullah cell had executed both the Beirut bombing that killed Hariri and the bombing that targeted his car in a suburb east of the capital.

Whats wrong lilou? You can be nice and safe in your jail cell after your trial for treason regarding providing information on bombing sites for Israel during their next attack.

nasrallah thinks lebanon is just an instrument in his work for khamenei, no wonder he puts bombs, starts wars as if Lebanon is the land of his enemies.

This man called Elias el Murr , has a problem with all the " Maronite " Presidents !! is it because he is a Greek Orthodox ! or because he things that he can replace them one day !?

He has the same problem and complexe as Walid Jumblat and his father Michel and many others , especially the HARIRI's ...........

The President in Lebanon will ALWAYS be Maronite in Lebanon , and soon with prerogatives ! and Will ALWAYS be Alaouite in Syria with full prerogatives no matter what YOU do or say or how much the Saudis spent to change that .

le phenicien reveals his totally sectarian way of thinking, and his undying support for a brutal regime in syria that kills its own citizens. It's so incredible that someone supports an undeniably tyrannical system, thinking they are fighting tyranny. What's worse is the ignoring or forgetting of what that system did/is doing to lebanon still.

"Nasrallah thinks lebanon is just an instrument in his work for khamenei, no wonder he puts bombs, starts wars as if Lebanon is the land of his enemies".

Here is a deal "Kabalane Yammine Netanyahu". If the US stops financing Israeli aggression, the Lebanese resistance not resist. By the way in 2006, 17 Amal, 9 Communists, and 4 SSNP were martyred fighting the Colonial Settler Fascist invading state.

DEAR READER: Le phoenicien's objective is to be as provocative and annoying as possible and he does it very well. There is very little logic or convinction in his declarations and personnaly i think he works for Naharnet and his job is to attract as many people as possible into the debate. The attitude should be to humour him and not to engage In any debate or react his comments. ZENNNNNNN

Dear Le Phenicien,
are you here to convince us that you are right? well most of us wont change our opinion. after all, none of us is family of walid jumblatt so we don't switch sides so fast. Most of us are young Lebanese living abroad and fed up of what we see in our country!

You honestly say nothing that is really useful here, you just bash and bother everyone that writes opinions different then yours, you lack manners and communication skills and on top of that you keep swearing at others and disrespecting dead people and human values.

So i suggest dear le phenicien, that you take a summer holiday in some civilized country where you might learn human communication without disrespecting others. That is not available Iran or Syria! Maybe A trip to visit me in Scandinavia, i can show you a bit of the local politicians, people differ in opinions but they still have respect to others.

Meanwhile, i beg you to stop the threatening and the ridiculous bullying of others!

Dear SASI ,

It is very strange for someone like you , that lives in a civilized country , where freedom of speech is part of your lives , and where the difference of opinions are not only tolerated , but encouraged !

FYI , and in case you ignore it , Naharnet Administrator or Moderator , will never publish any reaction with insults or non respectful comments ..

If you have any interiesting comments about the subject , I will be very happy to discuss it with you ..

PS : Naharnet is not mine or yours , Naharnet is a free space to all the Lebanese and non Lebanese , that is called free and honest Journalism my dear SASI .

I am not asking to silence you, I am asking that you stop spreading the same hate we have seen for a while.

We know your comments and your opinions so far and honestly, for once i would like to see something less full of hate.

I mean do you really hate, lets say 30 % of the Lebanese just because they differ in their opinion.

Freedom of speech comes with respect, even in free countries like here speech is not "i will kill you and damn thief and asshole martyr and all that crap language."

You could prove your point in a different method, looking a bit civilized.
P.s why are you anyhow so enthusiastic for any of the side since you yourself have been immigrated from that country and live in France?
What am saying just see the truth that defending any side is not helping. Both sides are evil, difference is what you defend should be your personal values and the image you have of Lebanon or what you would like Lebanon to be. I want Lebanon to be democratic and well, do you?

What a coincidence that the sons of two of Lebanon's filthiest mafiosos ever (Rafik and Michel) got one-way tickets out of any future government! Good riddance. Lebanon will be much much better off without these spoiled good-for-nothing low-life imbeciles. Finally, Lebanon's Spring has become a reality.
