Hizbullah and Mufti Stress Unity, Cooperation Among Rivals
Hizbullah official Ibrahim Amin al-Sayyed said Monday that he agreed with Grand Mufti Sheikh Abdul Latif Daryan on the importance of consolidating unity among the country's rival political parties.
Al-Sayyed, who visited Daryan at the head of a Hizbullah delegation, told reporters after the meeting that the two sides “agreed on the importance of consolidating unity, dialogue, understating and cooperation among the political parties in Lebanon.”
The delegation's visit was aimed at congratulating Daryan on his new post.
The 61-year-old Sheikh was unanimously elected in August as the country's new Grand Mufti succeeding Sheikh Mohammed Rashid Qabbani.
“Lebanon and the Lebanese are facing the growing threat of terrorist groups,” said al-Sayyed, adding that he talked with Daryan about the issue and about the developments in the country and the region.
“We exchanged viewpoints on these issues and discussed the policies we should adopt,” he added.
Both of you!! How dare you. I could only wish Naharnet displays your IP to the authorities. You do know now that the world are looking for ISIL people like @LebJak @terrorist
God bless Sheikh Mohammed Qabbani for opposing the Saudi-Salafist invasion of Lebanon.
LOL
and only non-lebanese, non-muslim will prefer war between the two major lebanese muslim communities to understanding and peace.
that's how we know lebjack and terrorist are not lebanese, not muslims and not arabs. their being so involved here leaves only one possibility as to their nationality.
Those of us with memory recall how the ASSad regime manipulated the Lebanese system and pit political players from each community against one another with every major turning point. Today's events are no different, though the moukhabarat has been replaced with HizCoCaine.
