Qatari Mediator 'Not Satisfied' with Path of Negotiations Related to Kidnapped Soldiers

The hopes in resolving the issue of the kidnapped soldiers by extremist Syrian groups diminished on Sunday, after the news about the “withdrawal” of the Qatari mediator.
MTV stated on Sunday evening that "the Qatari mediator is not satisfied with the path of negotiations in the issue of the kidnapped soldiers and that the government should quickly determine its demand from the kidnappers.”
It reported that the mediator has been left out of the negotiations and may have left Lebanon after a halt in the negotiations with the kidnappers. The mediator pointed out that the government didn't respond to the demands.
OTV reported: “General Security chief Maj. Gen. Abbas Ibrahim will not move before he receives clear and specific demands."
It quoted sources involved in the issue: "The government will not provide any initiative unless the kidnappers show positive signs."
The first of these signs is "to select the demands and verify them between the kidnappers,” meaning between both the al-Nusra Front and the Islamic State extremist groups.
