كيري التقى لافروف: اتفقنا على اجراء مؤتمر دولي حول سوريا في نهاية الشهر

اعلن وزير الخارجية الاميركي في مؤتمر صحفي عقده مع نظيره الروسي سيرجي لافروف عن انعقاد مؤتمر دولي حول سوريا في نهاية الشهر، موضحا أن "الهدف من منه جمع النظام والمعارضة في حكومة انتقالية".
من جهته، رأى لافروف أنه "إذا فازت معارضو النظامفإن سوريا ستتفتت"، مؤكدا أن "موسكو وواشنطن متفقتان على حث النظام والمعارضة بسوريا على وقف النزاع".
وكان كري سعى الى تضييق الخلافات مع الرئيس الروسي فلاديمير بوتين حول النزاع في سوريا، حيث دعاه الى المساعدة على ايجاد ارضية مشتركة لانهاء سفك الدماء في البلد المضطرب.
وتعتبر هذه اول زيارة يقوم بها كيري الى روسيا منذ توليه وزارة الخارجية في شباط الماضي ويقوم خلالها باكثر مهامه الدبلوماسية حساسية.
وتحث واشنطن موسكو، اقوى حلفاء الرئيس السوري بشار الاسد، على استخدام نفوذها لوقف النزاع وتتهم القادة الروس بمواصلة تزويد النظام السوري بالاسلحة.
وقال كيري لبوتين في بداية محادثاتهما في الكرملين ان "الولايات المتحدة تؤمن حقا بان لنا مصالح مشتركة مهمة جدا في سوريا".
وقال ان من بين هذه المصالح "الاستقرار في المنطقة وعدم السماح للمتطرفين بخلق مشاكل في المنطقة وغيرها من المناطق".
واضاف "امل في ان نتمكن اليوم من مناقشة ذلك قليلا، ونرى ان كان بامكاننا ان نجد ارضية مشتركة".
وفي تصريحاته الاولية لم يتطرق بوتين بشكل محدد الى الخلافات بين واشنطن وموسكو بشان سوريا، الا انه قال ان الكرملين يعد ردا على رسالة حول العلاقات الثنائية بعث بها الرئيس الاميركي باراك اوباما في نيسان.
وقال بوتين لكيري "اعتقد انه من المهم للغاية ان تتعاون وزاراتنا ومؤسساتنا الرئيسية بما فيها وزارة الخارجية، في ايجاد حلول لاهم قضايا اليوم".
واضاف "انا سعيد حقا لرؤيتك لان ذلك يوفر فرصة لمناقشة القضايا التي نعتقد انها صعبة وجها لوجه".
وتتزامن زيارة كيري مع الذكرى الاولى لعودة بوتين الى الكرملين لولاية ثالثة في السابع من ايار.
وسيلتقي كيري لاحقا نظيره الروسي سيرغي لافروف ويتوقع ان يعقد مؤتمرا صحافيا.

the Russian government is mainly interested in having continuing conflicts in the Middle East in order the price of its main export, oil, at a high level. The Russian will not fight for anyone, let alone Assad. They will keep pumping the crisis till he falls.

Why is the US trying to half solve a Problem. Russia sits with Iran and Hizbollah on the exact opposite end of the spectrum. Besides more conflict means higher gas prices. Thats where Russia with their Not so sweet crude oil Benefits. Otherwise: What is the endgame for Russia. World Peace without any access to Markets of the Mideast, Lower gas prices, Happiness for all. Not what they want.

Russia's interest, Oil from Iran passes through Southern Iraq, to Syria then to the Mediterranean sea. They want business as usual and don't give a them about Arabs/Muslims.

sunnis and Christians have coexisted in Lebanon and Syria for centuries. review your history and you might understand. on the other hand, the situation at hand in Syria is different, as some Christians put themselves in the wrong path, just like m8, by supporting this killer regime.
