Social Affairs Minister Wael Abu Faour stressed Sunday that “no party can practice hegemony or eliminate the other parties in this country.”

He noted that “governments, elections and alliances … come and go and only this country remains,” calling for preserving Lebanon through “national unity, coexistence, understanding and the spirit of reconciliation.”

“The Lebanese have no choice but to seek a comprehensive national settlement, especially if we contemplate over the worrying situations around us, which can negatively affect Lebanon and its security and stability, and which we hope will be contained as soon as possible,” minister Abu Faour, who is also a member of MP Walid Jumblat’s National Struggle Front, added.

Bigdig: Nor has it prevented some other so-called "Lebanese" politicians from being at the beck and call of Syrian and Iranian dictators. Between a prostitute and a dog, at least the whore is Human; far more than we can say for the bitch.
Down with the double-standards of people with substandard IQs (be they politicians or their followers)! Down with Iran, down with Israel, down with Syria, and down with the US of A! But I guess you'd have to be a true Lebanese and not an American/Israeli or Iranian/Syrian tike to understand what that means.

bigdig :
You are so big and you like to dig , do us a big favor go and dig a big hole for you wide and deep , bury yourself we shall not weep. We promise you to put on the covered hole a sign with the epitaph "Here lies a creature called bigdig. Dont cry, he likes his hole and continues to dig . Good riddance."

Rather than arguing over who bent over the farthest to satisfy a foreign country, let us argue over who has done the most to promote a sovereign, strong Lebanon. I think you both proved political corruption is rampant on both sides. What about a third party that believes in enriching the citizens of Lebanon rather than enriching the political class? What about the firm application of justice, regardless of sect or political affiliation? What about equal rights for women? Let's rally around ideas rather than defending our tribes because the tribal leaders have proven themselves corrupt.
