Report: Suleiman Among Candidates to Replace Diouf in Francophonie

إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية W460

President Michel Suleiman is among the candidates to succeed Abdou Diouf, secretary-general of the Francophonie organization, pan-Arab daily al-Hayat reported on Sunday.

The newspaper quoted sources in the Francophonie as saying that Suleiman could replace Diouf when his term ends in 2014.

Diouf, a former Senegalese president, has been since 2003 the secretary-general of the Francophonie, which groups together French-speaking nations around the world.

The 15th Francophonie summit will be held in Senegal next year and will coincide with the end of the third and final term of Diouf.

The same sources told al-Hayat that Henri Lopes, a Congolese writer and diplomat, is also seeking to reach the post.

FT. Tu es trop severe envers tout ce qui se rapproche de pres ou de loin de M14. Met un peux d'eau dans ton vin.

Anyway, It is the British printing press who is to blame. Not Riad Salameh + Naharnet did report the story.

His tantrum is simply attacking some he views as a potential contender for the presidency to the coward Aoun. Aoun the man would never be president, his blunders cost the country millions, thousands of dead and complete syrian occupation. He had a similar tantrum six years ago to then army commander Michel Sleiman, back then ft was known as lp.

FT,
If the trend of the last 20 years continue in Lebanon, then we should join Iranophone countries (that would be Iran, Syria and Lebanon). Ya neyyalna what a future, allah yestor.
