Phalange Party urged the state to adopt the necessary measures to stop Syrian violations of Lebanese territories, slamming transforming border regions “into a mailbox for political messages between the Syrian regime and opposition.”

"We condemn the use of border regions as a war tool and transforming them into a mailbox for political messages between the Syrian regime and the opposition,” the party said in a released statement after the political bureau's weekly meeting.

"We reiterate our calls for the adoption of urgent on ground measures to end all kinds of Syrian violations of Lebanese territories and seeking the help of the Arab League and the United Nations Security Council.”

The statement added: “It is unfortunate that the country stays in a state of crisis that threatens upcoming constitutional deadlines and worsens daily problems facing Lebanese citizens.”

“While Independence Day should have been a national event with the participation of all factions, Lebanon instead is heading further backwards and is wasting opportunities, which extends and amplifies the vacuum in the state.”

The party called again for reaching consensus over a new electoral law to shorten the extended mandate of the parliament.

The conferees also urged putting the issue of the refugees crisis on the table of the African-Arab Summit taking place in Kuwait, and discussing all its political, economic, social and security-related dimensions.

"We also demand following-up on the results reached at the New York summit and hurrying up in providing aid for Lebanon, as well as finding solutions that could include distributing newcomers to capable neighboring countries and building camps in safe Syrian regions.”

In a separate matter, the politburo praised “the democratic spirit” that prevailed in the Beirut Bar Association's elections on Sunday, in which party member George Jreij won to become the new head of the Syndication of Lawyers.

no it is not. but sorry for not taking part in your anti-syrian propaganda when m14ers go to fight in syria and get killed.
if you didnt want them killed you should have started by telling them not to go there.

My comment is true, momo has no problem with the Assad regime's violations and attacks on Lebanese territory.

The comment applies to you as well, no one is forgetting your rant about dissolving M14's.

given M8s logic, if israel was facing alqaeda terrorists and if some took cover in lebanon they would let the israeli army bomb lebanon to get rid of them inside the country...telling us they are acting in self defense!!! LOL
