Sources close to Progressive Socialist Party leader Walid Jumblat said in reference to the March 14 forces that they reject any attempt to put obstacles to the national dialogue.

“We had always called for calm and rational dialogue to limit the tension in the country and prevent further political divisions among the Lebanese that threaten civil peace,” the sources told As Safir daily published Saturday.

“Dialogue is now more important than ever,” they said about President Michel Suleiman’s invitation for all-party talks at the Baabda palace.

“We support anyone who pushes (for dialogue), particularly the president, Speaker Nabih Berri and Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah,” the sources told the newspaper.

“We are against the rejection of dialogue by any side,” the sources said. Without referring to March 14, they said they denounce “crippling conditions.”

A minister close to Jumblat told al-Liwaa daily that dialogue consolidates the local political situation to avoid any deterioration given the upheaval in Syria.

Meanwhile, an informed source said that Jumblat might visit Turkey next week after a trip he made to Russia.

he is now welcome in Saudi Arabia and the Gulf nations, so he now goes to Russia and Turkey to lobby his cause.

What crippling conditions?
The main concern today is illegal weapons and a state within the state.
A militia taking the whole country hostage.
This is what should be discussed.

Sure, dialogue "consolidates" the current situation in Lebanon with this coup government in control of state institutions. The crippling conditions on a "dialogue" is the fact that Hizbollah refuses to disarm. There can be no calm discussion, in fact no discussion when one party comes to the dialogue table armed, and the others not; when one party has no respect for the rule of law, the constitution, or the Republic, and the others are trying to vindicate or preserve these ideals.
Consolidation, as Jumblatt seeks, is surrender to an entity whose next step is to suspend the constitution under the rationale of "national emergency", that being, of course, the existence of the "Zionist entity" on Lebanon's border. Under the National Emergency Law, elections will be suspended in the name of "stability". It is the Syrian model.
M14, for Lebanon's sake must never give in to this. Aoun gave birth to this. Now it is to kill it in it's infancy, when it's full grown, it's too late.

Is not the position of not discussing the arms at all also a crippling condition. What is banned for one party should also apply to the other. If we call for no conditions, then it should apply to all.

Mustapha, since your an ally with samir geagea the war criminal, that means you are a criminal as well. Its your own logic so you cant deny it. Nor can you deny that samir geagea is a war criminal because he himself has admitted that he commited some of the crimes everyone knows he comitted.
