Qassem: Response to Blast Must be through Forming National Unity Cabinet
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةHizbullah deputy chief Sheikh Naim Qassem on Thursday noted that the “response” to the deadly blast that rocked the party's Haret Hreik stronghold earlier in the day must happen through “political understanding and the quick formation of a national unity cabinet.”
“The criminal bombing that occurred in Dahieh today is part of a series and we cannot tackle it as a separate or extraordinary act,” Qassem told al-Manar television, noting that “the bombing targeted ordinary people and not Hizbullah.”
“Hizbullah will not trade accusations and will not respond to the allegations,” added Qassem.
He warned that “everyone will drink from the bitter cup of the criminal scheme and the response must take place through political understanding and the quick formation of a national unity cabinet.”
“We are keen on the country's stability and safety and we won't heed the nervous statements of some parties. This country is not a farm for anyone and no one can eliminate the other,” Hizbullah's number two went on to say.
He cautioned that “Lebanon will head to destruction if there is no political understanding,” pointing out that “we cannot save it if we don't close ranks.”
“If some parties don't want to acknowledge this, it means that they will drag the country into destruction,” Qassem said.
Earlier on Thursday, at least four people were killed and 77 others wounded in a car bomb attack that rocked the Beirut southern suburb of Haret Hreik, a Hizbullah bastion.
so let salam form the gvt if you hold lebanon so high in your priorities!
anyway whatever the gvt you never obey it, if it is against your interests, so why bother?
so if you are patriotic and so keen on stability, let the PM form his gvt, with or without you....
A government with HA in it means that the country has accepted HA's military role in Syria and will lead to a lot more terrorism in our country then what we are seeing now. No thank you.
It is unbelievably incredible how much patience and restraint Hezb is showing these filthy terrorists.
All for the sake of unifying a nation.
All while being blamed and slandered by a minority of brainwashed individuals.
@dog
Great answer..
Unfortunately, because of your Saudi masters, it does not matter where they are. Sectarian strife is happening all across our region. Any Arab country where you see fighting, you see the Al-Qeada/Saudi hand.
Your just either too dumb or too blind to notice.
@bill
you are obsessed with quaeda Saudi stuff
relax smoke your cigarette and think Lebanon for a change
That's the cause behind the bombings, impose on us a hizb-controlled government. Thank u Mamluk boys...
primesuspect
you are nothing but a bigot
do you realize that those killed are Lebanese?
Do you realize that all Lebanon is targeted by these criminals
Shame on you
So Wat if they r Lebanese? Simply because of this we have 2 support terrorists? Its nonsensical.
Anonymous, do u have proof that these 'civilians' r innocent? Do u have proof they didn't return from syria last week after slitting throats?
Well, if u do, then u r right. Until then, they r not. Do u have proof they don't give money {sponsor} hizballa when they go 2 the mosque?
Do u have proof they pay their electrical bills?
Do u have proof they don't have blood on their hands?
Answer me my questions and i'll apologize if u care 2prove me wrong.
I hope no Christians, moslems and cruse got harmed today. They r honest people unlike the barbaric terroristas.
But if I were, how is this related to the hizballa terrorist organization and the doom they brought to my beloved Lebanon?
Anonymous, go slap ur Lebanese shia friends murdering and torturing people in lebanon and abroad instead of wanting to slap innocent and harmless people such as myself. Stop picking easy targets and fight the terrorists, not the people desiring justice and freedom! Comprendres?
prime suspect
Please do not make any comments
you are annoying, narrow minded and stupid
Thank you Southern
I feel bad to read prime suspect'd comments. I hope there aren't too many like him in lebanon
No, and you don't appear very smart. The only way is through disassociation policy. From what? From competing foreign interests that has conquered and divided you. You think as soon as someone put some money in your pockets, all of a sudden you are smart? You're all butchers.
@Naharnet
why are you allowing @prime-racist to still post his racist/bigot comments?
I swear people have been banned from your website for much less than what this weasel is saying.
Report me! U wish 2 ban me rather than answer my numerous questions. Can u prove that the victims were innocent yes or no?
Answer me for God's sake.
Is it not the way american judicial system works? U r supposed 2 prove u/they r innocent?
And anynomoustx, who r u 2 pick the participants? U don't like my legitimate views so u don't wanna hear them and wish 2 silence me? Perhaps, u should simply ignore them or walk away! It's only a suggestion so u don't suffer further.
He's a sly manipulator Banimā! A couple of good guys are falling in his trap, the other votes are operated by the red thumb brigade {1 loser doing it all}.
Today's attack is the work of Bashar and his tool hizballa. They r attempting 2 vitcimze themselves in order 2 save their skins even if it involves killing some of their own. It's so damn obvious.
I feel Lebanon has enough problems as it is
Bigotry should not be added to our existing ills.
@dog
I didnt realize because a site is considered "democratic" it means they allow racists comments.
But I guess in your sick twisted head, you agree with what @prime-racists said and thats why your coming to his rescue.
@Anonym
I read your comment earlier that a woman and her daughter were victims of this blast
I have not read it anywhere yet. My heart goes out to her family/husband
If so may they RIP
It reminds me the young Mohammad Chaat's death
May all Victims RIP
I assume she is married My heart goes out to her husband and her other children if any
Allah yerhamon
Coolmec, the husband is in Ghouta slitting throats who knows. That's how these people earn a living. Or they sell coke in my Latin American country.... And with the blood money, they don't even honor their electrical bills, yet they can afford driving a huge 4x4 GMC sipping 6 gallons of gas per day. Let's not worry, if these people were innocent, god will recognize his own.
My Question: what do you think about Hizbola threat that the army will get their weapons?
@anonym
I went by the scene of the starco blast
I saw the flowers placed where the young Chaar lost his life
I had tears in my eyes.
These criminals are killing the new blood of the country
Although I feel foe all the victims families I admit the Chaar death touched me the most. A young beautiful and colorful young man
@Prime suspect
I wish you stop your bigoted comments.
Dude you have a twisted mind
Don't you have any respect/sympathy for these innocent Lebanese victims?
@primesuspect - you seem to have a lot of hate in you. Garbage like yourself doesn't even belong in a Suklean bin.
@zakblat
Prime-racist does not know what Sukklean is. He does not live in Lebanon nor is he Lebanese.
Response to the blast must be through handing over all weapons in the hands of any Lebanese faction to the Army, accept the three billion dollar from Saudi Arabia or any sum from Iran, and establish the law of the land not the laws of HA or any other factional laws. It's time for Lebanon to become a country before its disintegration becomes a reality and the sadness wouldn't help anymore in moaning what once was a country eyed as a jewel of the Middle East and even the west. This cleric is detached from reality if he things that he could establish a safe country when his faction is gearing the country towards destruction. If he so much likes wars and conflict, let him ship all his people to Iran and open the court for them to fight until doomsday. Lebanon is not a country he owns; this is what he couldn't understand.
Kassem spoke too soon. Word I have is that the car bomb that blew was one of 4 or 5 that was found in the Hezbollah area. Apparently the various vehicles were being outfitted with bombs to be dispatched to other areas of Lebanon when this one went off prematurely.
Then Kassem pipes up with his one trick pony demand for a "unity government" as the cure for the car bombings? So the message is, meet Hezbollah"s demands and the car bombs stop. Don't meet Hezbollah's demands, and expect more car bombs.
