Customs agents at Beirut's Rafik Hariri International Airport foiled on Monday an attempt by a Lebanese national to smuggle 4 kilograms of cocaine into the country, the state-run National News Agency reported.

The 49-year-old man, who was identified by his initials A. D., who was returning to Beirut from Cyrpus was detained and referred to the Anti-Drug Bureau.

According to the NNA, the seized quantity was packed in a professional way in a double bottom suitcase.

The airport had previously thwarted several attempts to smuggle cocaine into the country.

OK, so this article was posted at 10am this morning, but the only flights from Larnaca arrived at 10:30pm or 9:30pm last night... all depends what they mean by Monday

Since the airport is ran by a group that produces and distributes drugs of all kinds, it cannot be that difficult to find the perpetrators.
These drugs then are recycled within the system to conveniently capture other smugglers and score a cheap political point.
When will the security apparatus at the airport will ever capture all the Iranians weapons destined to an organization that is hell bent on destroying the fabric of the Lebanese state?
