Maronite Patriarch Beshara al-Rahi called on Thursday for building unity through diversity to protect Lebanon.

“It's easy to destroy but it's difficult to build,” al-Rahi told a visiting delegation from the Lebanese Forces.

“We should work to build the people and the cause,” he said.

Al-Rahi also called for protecting Lebanon and relinquishing counter-reactions on the political scene.

“We need more brotherhood and peace because we are desperately in deed for coexistence,” he said.

“There is a war of arms but there should be weapons to build unity in diversity because Lebanon's value lies in its diversity and not in unilateralism,” he said.

Al-Rahi also stressed that unity compels us to enjoy living in a diverse country.

lead by example your highness and move with the bishops to southern Lebanon
admit the reality that every time either we succumb or die
or just lie silent

easy FT
1- every time we have an upcoming democratic process we are threatened publicly with few examples -car bombs, assassinations, etc- and then we chose a non democratic mean to solve the problem to avoid breaking into a civil war
example, the dismantling of the communication network, international murder suspects, so on and so forth
please remind us when no other than Aoun called for a judgment by the Shura Council on the extension of the parliament who was absent more than once hence clearly opposing Aoun and the Bishops and the Patriarch

2- when u preach something you should employ it and act accordingly, please do tell are non Maronite M8s welcomed in Christian strong holds
isn't it a victory and regularly suggested law to avoid and ban selling your land to strangers- and here its not only khalijis bc since 2011 they have stopped even visiting Lebanon let alone investing-
so pick, either they are strangers or fellow citizens, either ur partial or impartial but the dual role should hold no more
