Jumblat Expresses Hope that Cabinet Would See Light Soon

Progressive Socialist Party leader MP Walid Jumblat expressed hope on Friday that the political foes would reach an agreement over the cabinet formation process.
“I am seeking to bridge the gap between the political foes,” Jumblat said in comments published in As Safir newspaper.
He stressed the importance of “forming a new cabinet as soon as possible,” rejecting to tackle the cabinet ministerial statement.
Prime Minister-designate Tammam Salam was appointed in April but has so far been unable to put together a government over the conditions and counter conditions set by the rivals parties as fears mount that the differences between the March 8 and 14 camps would lead to a vacuum the presidential post.
The 8-8-8 government lineup awaits that March 14 approval, while al-Mustaqbal parliamentary bloc has set a series of questions regarding the cabinet's ministerial statement, the rotation of portfolios and the veto power.
The 8-8-8 formula divides ministers equally between the centrists, March 14 and 8 alliances, in which each get eight ministers with “decisive ministers” for the March 14 and 8 coalitions.

Again that fake peacemaker Jumblat presenting himself as the solution. In reality he's the problem, he betrayed march 14th after hizeballah killed so many of his supporters on may 2008. He ruined the guenine lebanese government of march 14th in favor of Iran and Syrian after giving them PSP mp's. He and Berry are the heckel and jeckle of syrian mu5abarat and enjoying year after year the M14 martyrs bomed one after the other.

Blessed be the day all of the old civil war warlords retire from political life and let the youth of today have a chance at rebuilding the country.
Forming a government with the same tyrants who impose their will on you at gunpoint is political madness. M14 needs to acknowledges their defeat and inability to control their destiny as long as they are HA hostages. Let HA run the show and shoulder all their responsibilities in the eyes of the world.

The mafia has done it again: drag matters almost eternally, then when the people of Lebanon are downright tired, they come to accept any rubbish, just to get things moving. If this was a scoreboard, things would read something like this, Politicians 10, The People 1. Same nonsense different day, everyone who understand the game should have held to their principles and only accepted a totally impartial government of technocrats, pure and simple. Once more the mafia has cheated and stolen the rights of the people.
