Teen Dies in Dahieh Blast after Saying She Escaped Three Bombings
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربية“This is the third bombing that I escape, I don't know if the fourth will kill me – feeling sad,” 18-year-old Maria Hussein al-Jawhari said on Facebook on January 2 in the wake of the deadly blast that rocked al-Arid Street in Haret Hreik.
“Nineteen days later and in the same location, the fourth explosion went off, killing Maria, who joined the martyrs Malak Zahwi and Ali Hasan Khadra who were martyred in a bombing that she escaped, and Mohammed al-Shaar who was martyred in the Starco blast,” An Nahar newspaper reported.
Maria's Facebook post quickly went viral on social networking websites. Some activists attached it to a picture of 20-year-old university student Ali Ibrahim Bashir, who was standing near his house when the blast ripped through Haret Hreik.
Shaar's death in the bomb attack that killed ex-minister Mohammed Shatah on Dec. 27 had sparked a "selfie protest" in the country under the hashtag #notamartyr.

When we lose such precious youth, I just don't know what to say, I am at a loss, truly truly sad. R.I.P pure young soul, life has not been fair to you.
tragedy, very reason why people're leaving lebanon...
Just imagine the state of the parents, brothers and sisters, etc...
May you find peace wherever you are, and may your killers find justice whoever they are.
Very sad. U can tell by the color of her veil she enjoyed life, poor kid. Rest in peace.
what is going on here? I really don't know what to say anymore... Such a pretty young lady! Perhaps I can ask for Peace in the middle east...someone, anyone?
"They shall not grow old, as we that are left grow old. Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the golden sun, we will remember them."
RIP, Maria. God bless. May God give wisdom to the leaders in Lebanon so that future losses such as this are avoided.
Lebanese Shias and Sunnis must boot the Khomenis and Wahabi SAVAGES out of the country, or this could be their fate too.
Maria, who joined the martyrs Malak Zahwi and Ali Hasan Khadra who were martyred in a bombing that she escaped, and Mohammed al-Shaar who was martyred in the Starco blast,”............
Please stop calling them Martyrs. These are poor victims of violence who were robbed of adulthood and of full life by dark minded criminals.
Leave the Martyr label to fighters like Moghneyye, Lakkis, Asir and anyone who is brainwashed into believing that Jihad is the path for eternal bliss.
Victim, not "martyr". Killed not "martyred". A martyr is someone who is killed for his/her beliefs, no matter what they are. This girl never chose this and her own personal beliefs are certainly unrelated to this monstrosity. Please know the difference.
