Alain Aoun Slams Top Officials for Ignoring Partnership
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةChange and Reform bloc lawmaker Alain Aoun has criticized the country's top officials for failing to coordinate with Free Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun when they struck a deal on the new government.
In an interview with An Nahar daily published on Saturday, Aoun said: “Had there been a true Christian partner from the beginning, they would have known that it has a different stance and the agreement would have been struck based on different principles.”
“Huge agreements in the country cannot be based on quadripartite alliances,” he stressed.
The FPM chief has rejected the rotation of portfolios in the new cabinet, delaying the line-up. He is holding onto the energy and telecommunications ministries that are part of his share in the resigned government of caretaker Premier Najib Miqati.
“Those who were surprised by our latest stance should have informed us on the general atmosphere from the beginning,” Alain Aoun said.
“We want a fair and balanced all-embracing cabinet,” he said. “This is our battle now.”
An Nahar also quoted Change and Reform bloc sources as saying that Aoun has objected to the deal struck between the top officials on the government over a lack of commitment to a written agreement reached between Speaker Nabih Berri's advisor Ali Hassan Khalil, the Hizbullah chief's aide Hussein Khalil and caretaker Energy Minister Jebran Bassil, who is an FPM official.
The sources said that the agreement was reached in the initial stages of Premier-designate Tammam Salam's appointment in April last year.
Under the alleged deal, the three parties agreed not to make commitments in the cabinet formation process without consulting the rest of the signatories.
But the sources said that the Change and Reform bloc was surprised by the deal reached by Speaker Berri's Amal movement and Hizbullah at a time when Salam did not even once cooperate with Aoun.
a) Some of you, but not all of you, may have wondered about my extended absence from Naharnet. I feel I owe it to my friends and foes alike to offer some explanation. Prior to my absence, Alona and I were personally invited by the Islamic Secular Shia Only Resistance to visit Qusayr after it was liberated by our Holy warriors to learn first hand of the drastic changes that are shaping its economy, environment, and infrastructure. Alona and I drove our 1965 Russian made 4x4 Lada through the barren mountains of eastern Lebanon escorted by a handfull of Hussain warriors and a camera crew headed by Zainab Berjawi from Al Manar TV station.
e) Then, one day and after 2 months in captivity in hell and backwardness, Alona alerted me to the faint sound of what turned out to to be 2 Ayoub drones hovering above our location. I lifted Alona up so she could get a glimpse of confirmation and a sense of hope through the small window of our dungeon. Alona burst into joyful tears when she recognized one of the drones, Ayoub One with its distinct Yellow stripes, as being Sayyed Hassan’s personal drone (the same drone that took Alona and I to Madiba’s funeral in Soweto). We witnessed 2 SWAT teams of Hussain warriors dangling and descending from the drones, storming the takfiri terror hub, terminating all the takfiri elements while chanting “Ya Hussain”, and finally liberating Alona and I from captivity.
b) Upon arrival in Qusayr, Alona and I were absolutely besides ourselves as we watched in astonishment hundreds of young educated people from Dahiyeh and its surroundings participating in rebuilding homes for the “displaced”, helping the elderly, while others were enthusiastically involved in social and entertainment activities such as singing religious farsi folklore songs praising the Husain. From a distance, I was able to spot Jimmy Carter, the ex U.S president, pouring cement for one of the new houses’ foundations. Qusayr center was a like a bee hub of modern civilization and social integration. Huge Sky scrappers lining the horizon, chicque takfiri women dressed in Dior’s latest, while young Jihadi hipsters were walking their pedigree pets along Qusayr’s main downtown man-made Marina while listening to Sayyed Hassan’s latest speeches on their “yellow” iPods.
f) I was overwhelmed to learn that Abbas, my childhood friend was the group commander in charge of this highly sophisticated rescue operation (code named RFT-Zero Dark Thirty) was personally ordered by Sayyed Hassan to liberate me and my kitten Alona from the fangs of savages. On the way back to civilization, Abbas insisted we tour some of the resistance’ modern pharmaceutical industrial complexes in the Bekaa where we witnessed state of the art Captagon manufacturing facilities and other “related” derivatives. Having lost our precious Lada in the ambush a couple of months earlier, Abbas displayed a wonderful gesture of gratitude when he escorted us to Brital. We toured the city’s numerous stolen-car showrooms. Abbas insisted we pick any car we wanted as a replacement for our aging Lada. Alona picked a spanking new low mileage black Range Rover that was freshly stolen from Kaslik only days earlier, according to Abbas.
c) Having spent the day In Qusayr and witnessed what could be described as the largest demographic transformation in modern history, Alona and I decided to head back to our beloved Ghazir. While piloting our aging Lada through the narrow potty roads leading to Hermel, our convoy was ambushed by bearded ninja-like blue takfiris. There was a horrendous and intense exchange of gunfire after which I lost conscious only to wake up the next day in chains in a dark and humid dungeon. For a moment, I thought I was in Alcatraz off the San Francisco Bay and was waiting for Sean Connery and the Navy Seals to come rescue me and Alona. My Alona was in a complete state of shock and despair, constantly crying over her spoiled manicure she just did prior to our departure.
d) I endured constant physical and mental torture, and I don’t even want to describe what they did to my beloved Alona….. poor kitten!!! My repeated requests for an internet dongle or internet satellite connection were denied by our takfiri captors who appeared well equipped and well funded. I could not send emails nor could I post on Naharnet. My captors kept trying to understand why Alona and I have so much admiration, love, and affection for Sayyed Hasan. We refused to deny him, and in return we received more pain and torture. There were moments we thought of ending it all to rid ourselves of enduring more pain. The only thing that kept us going was our faith in Sayyed Hassan, his teachings, his promise that HE himself would join the fight against the Takfiris if need be!!!
g) Upon arrival into Lebanon, we were both checked into Al Rasoul Al Azam Hospital in Dahieh for de-briefing and medical checkup. We were then released and delivered to our love nest in Ghazir where we are currently recuperating. Alona and I received several phone calls from Sayyed Hassan and other well wishers such as Prince Tala Arslan, Struggler Comrade Wiam Wahhab, and Wonder Phenom Gebran Bassil, to name but a few.
So, there you have it my dear friends. May the Lord Bless Sayyed Hassan and the Islamic Secular Shia Only Resistance for their tenacity, love of life and humanity. Karbalaaaaaaaaaaaaaaa

RFT… you are toooo much, that was hilarious… so glad you escaped your ordeal without being eaten!!! The Hizbullah/Assad cheerleaders will not be happy to see you, they have an M8 equivalent of you (by M8 standards that is :-) It called it self sagh but it is on its third go around. Moslem leadership in this country has a derogatory attitude towards Christians. Since sunnis are is pushing ksa agenda and shia are pushing iran agenda, and the Christians' is only a Lebanese agenda, moslems feel stronger and got the habit of sidelining us.
Maybe we should revive the inquisition to match the Sunnis or arm ourselves to match the shias...
The principle of rotation was agreed upon in order to facilitate the government formation. The FPM has held onto 2 key ministries for more than 5 years. They think it is an acquired right. If it is really Christian rights they are after, how about giving or agreeing to give these portfolios to non fpm christians? Or is Christian representation in Lebanon exclusive to aoun and his likes? Is it possible to be a Christian without being Aouni?
My dear Shia brother @Jaafar: Please, stay away from sectarian comments as it serves no purpose and adds no value to your already useless comments. Please, do not force me to vote you down.
“Those who were surprised by our latest stance should have informed us on the general atmosphere from the beginning,”… Aoun sold out to the Iranian militia, they have no need to consult with you because all the blocks consider him a fool… so now all you do is cry about the rotation of portfolios.
mckinl.. you are correct in the first 4 but Aoun is in a class all by himself, he is both a coward & a turncoat.
@ general_puppet: you said "Sooner or later new leaders will emerge and the Christians will unit and have a real say."
Exactly my point ... Christians need new leadership. Larry, Moe and Curly aren't cutting it ....
Yes " ain't no sunshine when he's gone... Ain't no sunshine when he's gone..." lalalala
@ general_puppet
Just maybe some heat should be applied to these so called Christian politicians ... Though these three are probably too well cooked to change now ...
what a medieval thug you are, "impotent" as if he is less of a man because he has been unable to have children. i would rather not have children than pass on genes such as those found in Aoun and Bassil: they literally look like clowns.
For lebanon to heal 1 hizbollah has to become a political party. 2 their arms to be integrated with the army . 3 withdraw from syria and cease all hostility . 4 disarm everybody in the country the only weapons to be in the hands of the army and law enforcement agencys .5. Lebanon should involve all sects into government but be governed by a secular government where the fundamental right of a human being to be above everything when governing the country
@ watan you are 100% right. But, all 5 points are unlikely to happen. Nice thought though.
FT can you please tell me if you were breast fed or bottle fed as a baby FPMer ? I'm trying to build a psychological profile on what makes you tick. I am feeling you lacked affection and love and have found it with your m8 buddies. I will be sending you further questions as you are a very interesting m8 specimen. Kindly answer breast or bottle fed.
Please I have a question for FT can you bleaze tell me how he is able to afford a private jet on a his salary? How can he afford most of what he has on his salary. Remember he was a nobody before he became an mp. Jaafar we await you to enlighten us. Min aina lahum hazza???
“We want a fair and balanced all-embracing cabinet,” he said.
