Lightning Strike Kills 3 Family Members in Metn

Three family members were killed at dawn Thursday after their house in the Metn district was hit by a lightning, the state-run National News Agency reported.
Habib al-Sbealani, 77, his 72-year-old sister Youssfiyeh and his daughter Rosette, 40, died when the lightning bolt caused the explosion of a gas canister at their house in the area of Mar Chaaya, NNA said.
The prefabricated house, which belongs to the Mar Chaaya convent, went in flames, the agency said.
Civil defense workers later doused the fire, it added.

but this could have easily been prevented should the civil defense had responded to the calls on time.
the civil defense responded to the phone calls after one hour and a half!
