Nasrallah Supports Dialogue after Presidential Vote, Says Equation Remains Golden 'Even if Someone Changes Their Opinion'
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةHizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah hinted on Saturday that his party will boycott national dialogue, encouraging instead the election of a new president before resuming talks.
Nasrallah also lashed out at president Michel Suleiman's stance on the army-people-resistance equation.
“What is golden remains golden, even if someone changes their opinion about it and said it became wooden,” the Hizbullah leader said in a televised speech he gave at an event celebrating the launch of the Jabal Amel Culture and Literature club in the southern town of Ainata.
“Others' description of things does not change the reality of these things,” he stressed.
Suleiman announced in February a “permanent equation” consisting of the land, people and common values, as a substitute to Hizbullah's army-people-resistance equation, which the party holds onto.
Nasrallah remarked that the president's comments on the equation will be reflected in Hizbullah's take on participating in the national dialogue sessions, preferring instead to launch talks after the presidential vote.
“We insist more than any other group on holding the presidential elections at the earliest possible time, we even call for an early vote, to establish a new phase, resume dialogue over a defense strategy, and get the country out of its problems,” he said.
Nasrallah had started his speech on Saturday by talking about the literature and cultural achievements of Lebanon, and of southerners in particular, noting the important roles of literature, language and culture in the act of resisting.
He considered that the resistance is not exclusively linked to a certain person, a group of people, or a region.
“The resistance is a culture and a political ideology that embraces different groups,” he said.
“Media outlets run by our political foes are still attacking the resistance, but the resistance is far more significant than a dispute with a party,” he added.
Nasrallah assured that the resistance will “remain strong and defiant.”
“Those who say that the fighting in Syria opens the doors in front of Israelis to wage a war against Lebanon, we tell them that they are mistaken,” he insisted.
“Israelis know very well that the resistance is not only strong, but it is stronger today, and more capable on the human, financial, and military levels. It is more ready for victory.”
Nasrallah said that the resistance succeeded in liberating the land “when the entire world failed in this regard.”
“It succeeded in freeing prisoners from Israeli jails, and it cemented Lebanon as a strong nation in the regional equation.”
On the party's involvement in the Syrian was, Nasrallah said Hizbullah fighters first entered the neighboring country to defend the Sayyeda Zeinab shrine.
“We did not violate Syria's sovereignty. We went in after receiving the Syrian cabinet's approval,” he revealed.
“But today, there is a nation preparing to enter the country and violate its sovereignty to defend a shrine that is not even famous,” he added, referring to Turkey.
He continued: “From the beginning we said we are with dialogue and reform and we are not with implementing strategic choices in Syria. Why did Arabs wait for three years of suffering, killing, and hardship before becoming convinced of a political solution? You rejected to take part in dialogue and you held onto overthrowing the regime.”
Again, Nasrallah reiterated his warning against the “Takfiri danger.”
“We said since the beginning that what is happening in Syria subjects the entire region to the danger of Takfiris. You said it was about human rights and revolutions.”
“Some Lebanese have not realized yet that what is happening in Syria is a threat to the country,” he stressed.
“I call on you to reconsider your stances and reevaluate what's happening. The problem in Lebanon is that Hizbullah was late to join the Syrian war, and your problem is that you are still in your place and did not go fight in the country.”

Nasrallah: We insist more than anyone on holding the presidential elections and we even call for an early vote, to establish a new phase, resume dialogue over a defense strategy, and get the country out of its problems.
-
29 March 2014, 17:54
Nasrallah: Today there is an opportunity for Lebanese to become aware of their own problems, and stop waiting for developments and changes in the region.
-
29 March 2014, 17:54
Nasrallah: Leave Syrian alone and let's collaborate together because no faction in Lebanon can eliminate others. And I know that are alliance has no intention of eliminating anyone.
-
29 March 2014, 17:53
Nasrallah: All factions aim at electing a president that is allied with them. Today Lebanon has an opportunity to positively neutralize itself from what is happening in Syria, because delivering milk is no longer valid.
-
29 March 2014, 17:51
Nasrallah: After the cabinet's formation, Lebanon has an opportunity to activate governmental work. We will be positive and we invite you to start preparing for the presidential elections.
-
29 March 2014, 17:50
Nasrallah: If Takfiris were defeated in Syria, the Lebanese will be protected. This winning party is not looking for revenge but for peace and strength.
-
29 March 2014, 17:50
Nasrallah: If Takfiri terrorism won in Syria, we will all come to an end. Don't you see what's happening in Aleppo, Idlib, Raqqa, Deir al-Zour, in Faluja and al-Anbar?
-
29 March 2014, 17:49
Nasrallah: Some religious sects and certain groups in Lebanon have proposed to come fight with us in Syria, but we rejected. The problem in Lebanon is that Hizbullah was late to join the Syrian war, and your problem is that you are still in your place and did not go fight.
-
29 March 2014, 17:48
Nasrallah: I call on you to reconsider your stances and reevaluate what's happening. I am not telling you to come fight with us in Syria.
-
29 March 2014, 17:47
Nasrallah: We told you that what is happening is no longer about demanding rights, but became about Takfiri danger.
-
29 March 2014, 17:46
Nasrallah: Some Lebanese have not realized yet that what is happening in Syria is a threat to the country.
-
29 March 2014, 17:44
Nasrallah: We have said since the beginning that what is happening in Syria subjects the entire region to the danger of Takfiris. You said it was about human rights and revolutions. But today, you are talking about Takfiri danger, after getting involved in arming opposition groups.
-
29 March 2014, 17:43
Nasrallah: Why did Arabs wait for three years of suffering, killing and hardship before becoming convinced of a political solution? You rejected to take part in dialogue and you held onto overthrowing the regime.
-
29 March 2014, 17:41
Nasrallah: We went to defend the shrine that is respected by all Muslims. We did not violate Syria's sovereignty. We went in after receiving the Syrian cabinet's approval. But today, there is a nation preparing to enter the country and violate its sovereignty and it is Turkey, to defend a shrine that is not famous.
-
29 March 2014, 17:39
Nasrallah: When gunmen neared the Sayyeda Zeinab shrine we sent a small force to defend it.
-
29 March 2014, 17:37
Nasrallah: We are not with anyone going to Syria to weaken it. From the beginning we said we are with dialogue and reform and we are not with implementing strategic choices in Syria.
-
29 March 2014, 17:33
Nasrallah: Any attack against the resistance is focused on entering Syria.
-
29 March 2014, 17:32
Nasrallah: This will be reflected in our stance about dialogue, which we will not announce it today. Our stance is not binding to any of our allies.
-
29 March 2014, 17:32
Nasrallah: How can someone allow themselves to say the golden has become wooden? We have no problem with wood as it is used to make coffins for Israeli soldiers.
-
29 March 2014, 17:29
Nasrallah in response to president Michel Suleiman: What is golden remains golden, even if someone changes their opinion about it and said it became wooden. Others' description of things does not change the reality of these things.
-
29 March 2014, 17:29
Nasrallah: The enemy knows better than the Lebanese about the resistance's development and it takes this into consideration.
-
29 March 2014, 17:28
Nasrallah: The resistance is not only strong, but it is stronger and more capable on the human, financial, and military levels. It is more ready for victory.
-
29 March 2014, 17:27
Nasrallah: Israelis know very well that the resistance is strong and that it became stronger.
-
29 March 2014, 17:26
Nasrallah: The resistance will remain strong and defiant and those who say that the fighting in Syria opens the doors in front of Israelis to wage a war against Lebanon, we tell them that their assumptions are wrong.
-
29 March 2014, 17:25
Nasrallah: This is a definite achievement of the resistance that was not and will not be weakened. Tell us, what are your achievements?
-
29 March 2014, 17:24
Nasrallah: The army-people-resistance equation succeeded in liberating the land when the entire world failed. The resistance succeeded in freeing prisoners in Israeli jails, and it cemented Lebanon as a strong nation in the regional equation. No one can ignore Lebanon, because the country had gold long before it had petrol or gas.
-
29 March 2014, 17:24
Nasrallah: The consequences of this will be revealed in days and talks about the failure of the army-people-resistance equation has no dimensions and no proofs. Tell us where did this equation fail and where did you succeed?
-
29 March 2014, 17:23
Nasrallah: Any attack against the resistance or any defamation is an attack against all those who are resistant, and not against a certain group.
-
29 March 2014, 17:22
Nasrallah: Some know what to attack and what to target, but their problem is with Hizbullah.
-
29 March 2014, 17:22
Nasrallah: Media outlets operated by our political foes are still attacking the resistance, but the resistance is far more significant than a dispute with a party.
-
29 March 2014, 17:20
Nasrallah: This resistance was launched with limited available capabilities and the people of Jabal Amel stayed in their land, were killed under the roofs of their houses. This is the resistance; a resistance by taking a stance.
-
29 March 2014, 17:17
Nasrallah: Some ignore that since 1948 the South has been attacked and they don't know anything about the massacres against people in border regions, regardless of the sects. They do not know anything about humiliating security forces and the state's institutions on the border, and the violation of the sea, and airspace and the land.
-
29 March 2014, 17:14
Nasrallah: Those discussing the resistance know that it is not confined to a party of a certain group or sect. The resistance is a culture and is a political ideology that embraces different groups.
-
29 March 2014, 17:14
Nasrallah: It has been said that the resistance is today Islamic, and particularly Shiite, only. But were you supportive of the resistance when it was formed of all religious sects? When it was a secular resistance did you support it?
-
29 March 2014, 17:13
Nasrallah: This discussion is traced back to 1948 and I say that there has never been a national consensus over the resistance, even during the liberation on May 25, 2000, when the resistance offered this victory to all the Lebanese.
-
29 March 2014, 17:11
Nasrallah: The discussion over the resistance is not limited to or exclusively linked to a certain person, a group of people or a region. This discussion has been there even before Hizbullah and AMAL's resistance, and even during the time of the secular resistance.
-
29 March 2014, 17:09

-
29 March 2014, 16:52

29 March 2014, 16:48
Nasrallah: Among the abilities given to human beings is the ability to talk, or the language, which is expresses in writing, speaking or in using signs. Painting, sculpture and music also transmit human beings' thoughts.

29 March 2014, 16:45
Nasrallah: God gave human beings the ability to understand what's going on on their minds, and what they are feeling, and even to understand illusions and fantasies.
-
29 March 2014, 16:44
Hizbullah chief Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah speaking at the launch of the Jabal Amel Culture and Literature club in Ainata: God gave the human being a mind to have the ability to acquire knowledge and learn, which would enable them to be productive not only a passive receiver.
jabalamel. It is normal for a kid your age to feel like they're the center of the universe. soon, you will start to realize that neither you, nor jabal amel are.
jabalamel.-oooouuu I see a sharp sectarianism there. You are obviously living in Germany- your christian german boss gave you a hard time?
Listen, your hate for christians is probably due to an inferiority complex. You should stop seeing the shia sect as inferior and ma7roum. The shia sect is as good as any other. You even dont even need weapons to prove your value. You can stand on your own two feet as a sect without weapons.
@ ft : faut te le dire en quelle langue tapette ? JE SUIS PAS M14...
Btw, still avoiding abc mall habibi ? A coffee in starbucks maybe ?
U'd rather stay behind ur screen ? I do understand but please stay on almanar et al...
southern. you love the south. dont you?
But you hate the rest of lebanon. for you, because the south was liberated, you forgave HA and its allies all the crimes they made in the other regions
How mighty glad I am to be out of Lebanon for the time being in Kenya enjoying a different scene. Excuse me, a Giraffe is just passing, where did I put my bananas?
LF, Cedre, thanks, yes, it's true, I am indeed in Africa, enjoying some wonderful scenes, so peaceful here, and the good thing is making money whilst enjoying this great continent. The break from the usual Lebanese scenery does recharge them batteries.
He really has no shame even mentioning the word resistance. A delusional iranian agent that's all he is..tfeh
HA is allied with the biggest ennemy that lebanon has ever had. The baath regime.
HA turns a blind eye and even sometimes facilitates all the killings and the exactions of assad in lebanon. How can you support someone who is allied with assad, the butcher of lebanon?
The fact that he takes orders from outside Lebanon makes him along with any other individual who does the same irrelevant.
I see we have someone from the lovely state of Michigan visiting, have you graduated from highschool my good sir? PS kind of hypocritical you use a Charlie Sheen hashtage, yet you hate the "zionist" west? Again doesn't make sense.
Patriot bro, I certainly don't wish to sound disrespecful to your sentiments, I do hold them in high esteem, but I ma targeting your coinage whereas you spoke of real men. What I know is simple, real men don't hide underground, they lead the fight in front of their men, and when they die, they die standing. If it is no offence to you, Bachir Gemayel was such a guy, a man known for his exemplary courage, humility and humbleness. Sayed Hassan could have been our new Bachir, but alas, and I say it with profound regret.
phoenix you forgot that Sayed Hassan sacrificed even his own sons against Israel, such as the martyr Hadi Nasrallah. So that is very wrong what you are saying, Sayed Hassan himself thought against the Israelis during the 1982 invasion.
Lapdogs and slaves who kiss the feet of their Iranian maters. They have put themselves in a servant's role.
LOL says the one who is only here to attack commentators but not a word on the article LOL
if those you criticize are losers then you are among them LOL
It seems all the bugs have been addressed in your new firmware 8.0 because there is no stuttering anymore:)
Another legendary speech, by our beloved Sayed Hassan Nasrallah. Takfiris, zionists and cowards, trembles in fear.
If you artificially create the need to resist, then you can fool some people sometimes, but you can not fool all the people all of the time. Please thank Iran for all it benefited the Shiite people which was something that was needed and neglected by the previous so called politicians/leaders. Lastly, I wonder all this is not free. So, what is the payback to Iran? Does a divide Lebanon benefit Lebanon as a whole, or Iran, Syria and Israel while the Palestinians with their arms remain in Lebanon and now Syrian refugees while poking the eyes of Saudi Arabia the underlying reason Iran is fighting its war in Lebanon.
cedre. The debate is interesting. Who is worse? Baath or iran.
We have to remember that Iran did finance HA to liberate the south. Iran is giving some welfare help to shia families. (albeit as an objective to undermine the state)- but I can understand why our brother shias are dependant on them and follow them.
However the Baath regime has ZERO utility. It occupied lebanon for over a decade, bombarded it. Iran never bombarded. The baath killed every man who would have made lebanon great. From Bachir Gemayel to Mohamed chate7. Iran did not do so many killings.
Baath wants a civil war in lebanon. Iran wants a weak but peaceful state controlled by HA.
Both are bad. But Baath is the worst.
administrator
cedre wrote be cursed you and ur followers ya Iranian lackey hmmm
is this ur standard mr administrator shame on u naharnet
lol say the loser doing EXACTLY the same thing when commenting articles about geagea or M14!
ROFL! priceless post! typical sign of a weak mind when one fails to see he does exactly what he insults others for doing! ROFLMAO! really priceless!
Here goes Mr. Plazma! When will he say: Only if I knew? All we see is a culture of blood and killings that attracted the same from the other camp..... HA and Takfiris are different sides of the same coin
Why do you give this statement a thumbs down? While H.A. may have been created in defense against Takfiri as a shield, now it has become a sword. So why even find a silver lining in favor of H.A.?
Vincent, cause some people can not see clearly or afraid to state the truth! Very sad if you ask me
Hassan Nasrallah: There are many stories about authors who were jailed or crucified in public squares because they had written about issues that do not please their jailers and executioners.
yep Hassan, he's one of these stories recounted by a bloodthirsty intolerant Jehadi
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iQl402Eaeco
Nasrallah: Leave Syrian alone and let's collaborate together because no faction in Lebanon can eliminate others. And I know that are alliance has no intention of eliminating anyone.....LOLZ
@ lebfirst : very interesting debate, but u need to know that Iran was manipulating lebanese shias before Israel invasion or '79 revolution.
Sadr started way before that, helped by the SAVAK trying to balance panarabism in the region by using arab shias. One must be very naive to think ayatos help lebanese shias Gratis pro Deo, farsis hate all arabs...
Baath failed in its dream of annexing Lebanon, Khomeynism could succeed thanks to weapons and shias' birth rate...
Lebanon could become like Maliki's Iraq & thats what sunnis are fighting against...
Nasrallah : "Among the abilities given to human beings is the ability to talk, or the language, which is expresses in writing, speaking or in using signs. Painting, sculpture and music also transmit human beings' thoughts."
Nasrallah believes weapons are words. Why don't you talk your way to peace ?
Nasrallah: "There are many stories about authors who were jailed or crucified in public squares because they had written about issues that do not please their jailers and executioners."
That's funny when Hezbollah / Syria has targeted and murdered journalists including Samir Kassir, Gebran Tueni, May Chidiac
Also funny when IRAN is one of the biggest opponents to freedom of expression and oppressor of free thinkers
To the 3 idiots that downvoted me. Prove me wrong instead... oh yes you can't !
Because Iran is just as bad as Saudi Arabia and North Korea when it comes to freedom and human rights !
Nasrallah has the audacity to mention these issues ?
He should be ashamed of himself and will burn in hell for his actions !
@FT : The Iranian people are incredibly cultivated. I don't argue that. The problem is these are the people wanting freedom in Iran and are being harassed by the fake regime of Khomeini !
And what do you have against rats ? You are a Hezbollah supporter are you not with their cowards hiding underground and challenging their opponents with weapons and force instead of words.
And to fill your ignorant gap about art and culture, the Saudi scene is just the same as the Irani less the history and the people are just as oppressed.
this speech is a declaration of war against all Lebanese.
read it calmly guys, and you will realize it is the announcement of the takeover of the country for the benefit of iran.
this speech is going to cost Lebanon its existence.
Nasrallah : "We did not violate Syria's sovereignty. We went in after receiving the Syrian cabinet's approval."
However, you did not receive the Lebanese Cabinet's approval. You used Lebanese land to attack a foreign country and therefore are guilty of violating Lebanon's sovereignty and national security !
Hezbollah is a national security threat to Lebanon !
What you don't get you terrorist idiot is that there are more than 2 sides in this conflict. You have 2 groups of stone age terrorist sheep with guns and the rest of us, normal human beings who could not care less about your Sunni / Shiite jerk off. We don't need weapons to prove we're men and we have already won our fight by letting you mutually exterminate each other to extinction which I hope will come sooner than later. We will soon recover our land, freedom and sovereignty and those of you remaining will be eliminated or converted back from animal life !
nasrallah is only ready to work if the other side accept his views! otherwise he is not willing to integrate the army as any patriot would do!
nasrallah is never going to let the STATE of lebanon give orders and only them to hezbi militiamen!
nasrallah is never going to OBEY the state and let the state the only institution to DECIDE of peace or war!
nasrallah is never going to listen to half the lebanese population even more who is against his militia....
so national dialogue is a farce and a big hypocrisy for the hezbis!
I live in reality. You're the one living the illusion.
Imperialism only exist in the world of ignorants. Meanwhile, the rest of the human race has evolved far beyond your primitive concerns.
My defense strategy is peace and dialogue. Yours is showing your weapons to the world and fighting any opposing views with lethal force.
But even when we achieve peace through force or dialogue. Explain to me what Hezbollah is actually fighting for.
What is their plan beyond war and conquest ?
Talk about economy, education, job creation, tourism, prosperity, research, culture ... not only is hezbollah incompetent in these subjects, they have no clue what to do. Their only concern is preserving their interests which today amounts solely to weapon / drug smuggling and other blackmarket activities. It's their sole source of income ! That's not sustainable !
I love how you use the best possible description of Aoun : "Delusion". I'm sorry to disappoint you live in an illusion.
Prove me wrong instead... can you.
Answer my questions above.
What is Hezbollah's plan for the country if there were no "Wars" and threats ? Nationalise everything like you seem to be a proponent of ? Eliminate all opposing medias ? Solve the job crisis by offering people fake jobs and letting the rest of us flee the country for better pastures ? Bring back tourists from Iran and Syria to replace wealthy Europeans and Arabs ? Solve the economical crisis with petrol alone leading us to yet another bound to fail economy based on petrodollars ?
You are pathetic !
sure texas and that is why they easily label as traitors those who oppose their views! the only way to resist is the hezbi way otherwise you are a zionist! it is a typical way of reasoning proper to all dictators... this and the conspiracy plots always are used by totalitarian regimes to care their sheep...
and as they pretend their way is the only way, then all laws against them or agaisnt their interests are void and they just spit on it... with the full support of sheep M8ers...
Over exaggerating American propaganda, the resistance has a very small force in Syria. That is even enough, to hold back the takfiri storm.
The Resistance are actually supporting the LAF, with every means necessary, you don't live in Lebanon Mr. American, so you know jack about anything going on here. That the Army is in Dahiyeh is nothing new? They always been there.
We insist more than any other group on holding the presidential elections at the earliest possible time .............
Just like he (and his partner in crime Berri) insisted more than any other group on delaying the Parliamentary elections.
It is bound that one day the chain will be broken and the darkness will give way to daylight.
“The resistance is a culture and is a political ideology that embraces different groups,”
The militia is part of the Iranian guard and their ideology is that of the Assad's & the Ayatollah's. Nasrallah is nothing more then a filthy terrorist hiding in a bunker.
Am I to understand that unless the new president holds Nasrallah's views their will be no dialogue.
Hassan claiming to push for a fast election means plainly that there will be no elected president. We will have a vacuum leaving the army and our institutions incapacitated. HA will become the only armed group in Lebanon with direction, and thus their goal to fully control the Lebanese state is achieved. Are we heading towards a Shiia, Alawitte and Christian state comprising Lebanon and the coast of Syria with the Sunni state made up of the interior bordering Iraq and Jordan. Turkey has already hinted what bite it will take from from this equation.
Who in the hell is idiot Full Disclosure? What an uneducated fool whose words make no sense to me at all.
Syrian-Iranian Army, Syrian-Iranian People, Militia equation that robs the state infrastructure to build its own telecom and does not pay tax or electricity or abide by the laws UNLESS the fire reaches them then they accuse the state that it failed them and did not protect them.
Cancer you are to the state same as Bin Laden and his terrorist takfiris.
Lebpatriot, you are Iranian masquerading as a Lebanese. You should be shot for treason you traitor to your country.... Go form your own State with Iranian and Hezbo rulers and see how well you like it you ignorant fool.
