An Israeli infantry unit combed on Thursday the heights near the tiny village of Wazzani and the occupied town of Ghajar in southern Lebanon, the state-run National News Agency reported.

NNA said that the unit was backed by a Humvee and an Israeli drone that overflew al-Abbasiyeh and the occupied Shebaa Farms area.

However, the soldiers did not cross the U.N.-drawn Blue Line.

Earlier Thursday, an Israeli bulldozer erected earth mounds in al-Wazzani area near the parks, the agency added.

Israel occupied much of southern Lebanon for 22 years between 1978 and 2000. The region was also devastated in 2006 following a war between the Jewish state and Hizbullah.

As far as the whole world knows the last time that Israel and Lebanon were actively at war against each other was in 1948.
