Aoun: Govt. Must Give Answer on Electricity Project Tomorrow
إقرأ هذا الخبر بالعربيةFree Patriotic Movement leader MP Michel Aoun accused on Tuesday the sides seeking to obstruct the electricity draft law of wanting to pass the law at an “insignificant cost,” stressing that the movement will not compromise over the law or granting the people electricity.
He said after the Change and Reform bloc’s weekly meeting: “Our commitment to the electricity project is not political maneuvering and the government must give an answer tomorrow during the cabinet session.”
“We want to provide all the Lebanese with electricity and we challenge anyone to present any technical flaw in it,” he said.
“We want to find out who our friends and foes are. The government committed to the draft law and we will not fall victim to some people’s whims,” Aoun added.
“They will then see whether I am bold enough to withdraw from government. They’re right to believe that I won’t resign,” he noted.
On Lebanese Forces leader Samir Geagea’s statements on Monday that Aoun presented the draft law on a simple A4 paper, the MP responded: “He is misleading the public. An issue as important as the electricity file should not be subject to spite.”
Geagea had stated on Monday that the manner in which the law was presented is “not normal as no one is prepared to agree on the spending of $1.2 billion based on a two-page proposal.”
Aoun continued: “All these maneuvers are an attempt to curb our power. We can present concessions over anything except this proposal. We will not compromise over the electricity file.”
On the imprisonment of retired Brigadier General Fayez Karam on charges of collaborating with Israel, the MP said: “I have taken sides in this case and Hizbullah has not presented a position that opposes mine on this matter.”
“I was told that Karam immediately confessed to the crime, but it was later revealed that no tangible evidence was presented before the investigation. They haven’t even proven that his phones were used to contact Israel,” he stated.
“They claim that everything is recorded and when we asked to see these records, they refused. Why were they destroyed?” asked the FPM leader.
“We still don’t know how Karam confessed so coldly to the crime. What state was he in during the investigation? Was he drugged?” he wondered.
On Saturday, Karam was sentenced to two years in jail with hard labor on charges of collaborating with Israel.

FPM leader MP Michel Aoun after Change and Reform bloc’s weekly meeting: We discussed Fayez Karam’s case and we would like to respond to Geagea’s statements on the electricity file and address the file itself.
The weekly horror show....... is soon coming to an end! So, you are blaming Harriri for the losses in the electricity sector? Ya Majnoon we had problems and losses in the electricity sector even before harriri was born. Were you not part of the previous governments?
Now, treason has become a matter of a point of view.......! Your pussy Karam was convicted under a government controlled by you and your allies, and you still go on whining????
isn't syria a foreign country medling in lebnon,s affairs? Or iran? I don't see any other countries medling. Do you know what the heck you are talking about? You can talk to your followers and fool them but not to the real free lebanese people. Of course you hate the media because you wish to blind fold the people just like assad does to his people. You live in the stone age and act like a dictator . You never updated your computer it is still have the old floppy disks. You must be in a coma .tey need to pull the plug on you to releif us from your insane misery. You are done finished .You are brain dead.
The technical flaw is: The country does not want to give 1.2 billion dollars without controls, to a retarded son-in-law who has no plan for the money except to steal it so FPM can have money for the election campaign
Right, only one who never "robbed" Lebanon is the coward deserter who ran away with the millions in his soldiers pay while they were being slaughtered by his current benefactors. ONE WAY TICKET!
He just compared the deAth of 150,000 to the electricity file.........shows how much he values life and especially the lives of those he commanded :)
What an imbecile…no human being can be CRAZY enough to think that he’s ALWAYS right ALL the time except Aoun, so he must belong to the animal kingdom … maybe with Assad … what an imbecile Aoun is!!!.
Pull out of the government and save the country from more of your psychosis.
P.S. I am sending you a new set of pajamas for your departure.
@voyager : you are right mate! Hariri is the best gestionnaire ever, his father even better! Ruined the country rather than repair... And now he cannot even afford paying his employees... If you want details I have it all, just ask... And give me one single example where FPM stole anything!
Like seriously guys?! None of you has a valid comment? Khloulis 3asr el ser'a! Et la lumiere fut!!!
The coward deserter has been threatening everyone with miles and miles of "files" since 2005 but like every Aoun threat they are hollow, remember all the threats and promises he used to level at Hezbollah from Paris. Meanwhile penniless until recently unemployed unemployable favorite son in law Gebran iMBassil has all of a sudden come into a huge fortune in real estate and newly constructed luxury building all over Metn to rival Donald trump.
"I wouldn’t bless the intervention even if it would save my life."
Everyone knows little man what you did to save your life, you ran away like the coward that you are deserting you post leaving your soldiers and supporters to be slaughtered as if that was not bad enough you left your own wife and small daughters behind,.
I wonder if you cared what the Syrian Soldiers did to them. They're probably too ashamed to tell you, you wouldn't care anyway you were safe and that's all that matted wimp.
Any person with high school education knows how to fix a country. You start with gaining the country’s independence. You move on to incorporating bylaws (that politicians actually follow) after which you start with infrastructure.
On the other hand, any 1st year economist or business student knows that 1.2 Billion dollars for only 700 MW of electricity is too much.
I know we Lebanese pride ourselves on our liberality, but allowing an Alzheimer's patient to serve in government is a bridge too far.
This man has become the most corrupt person !!!! Himself and all the people around him have become millionnaires.....only a blind is NOT able to see the THIEVES...only a fool can follow a FOOL...
mrbean
Get your PMS to pay their bills and stop illegally hooking on the grid as Kermit the son in law accused them of doing .
Cheers
aoun: “i have taken sides in this (fayez karam) case and hizbullah has not presented a position that opposes mine on this matter.”
wow this settles the matter then, his side and hizbullah's side are the zionist sides sayed hassan confessed his group full of traitors and karam confessed he is one.
Look into my eyes.......what do you see? Yes, yes I know you see it. A man on lithium pills ready to put on his pajamas and run away.
Always threats, if I don't get my way you're doomed. Well we are doomed as long as you are in Lebanon.............
