Health Ministry Raids Restaurants that Bought Expired Foods from Syrian Dealer

The Ministry of Health with the aid of the State Security raided on Saturday a number of restaurants that bought some expired foods from a Syrian dealer.
LBCI Tv announced that “members from the health ministry and the State Security raided a number of restaurants selling expired meat, brain meat, oil and chili pepper in Beirut and Mount Lebanon.”
Meanwhile, Al-Jaras scoop said that the raided restaurants are “Barbar, Mazat, al-Zaghloul, Grand Cafe and al-Mzar.”
In details, LBCI noted that “twenty one pieces of expired brain meat and 15 kilos of expired chili pepper that were bought from a Syrian dealer were found at al-Mzar restaurant.”
"Forty seven kilos of expired chili pepper was found at Mazat Restaurant in Mkalles that were bought from a Syrian dealer too,” the channel added.
Al-Zaghloul restaurant at Gallery Semaan tried to buy expired chilli pepper from the same dealer, but "the restaurant was raided before accomplishing the purchase and arrested the dealer,” according to the LBCI.
The measures come amid an unprecedented food safety campaign launched by Abou Faour around a month ago in the food industry, which has so far involved restaurants, factories, farms, slaughterhouses and even the wheat silos at Beirut's port and the sugar depots at Tripoli's port.

You're all missing the point. Contaminated foods effect anyone, regarless of race, religion, nationality or political affiliation. I'm appalled that the only thing anyone got out of this article was that naming of nationalities of those accused! What about the innocent children or families that would eat and become sick or even die??? What agenda are you all on???
